  1. downloaded the kde version of ExTix and I’m quite impressed with how it runs so nice. still resolving some issues but they’re minor ones. (want to run 24hr clock, scrolling while in Firefox shakes the display screen, grub boot screen doesn’t work right) but as I said, minor issues. you’ve done a great job overall though and I wanted you to know that. I’ve downloaded quite a few Linux distros and most are filled with bugs that I’m not so sure there are fixes for them. I must admit though when I first tried installing this kde version I thought there was something wrong with the image since all I had on the screen was a blinking cursor. I researched a little bit and came across your directions of what to do and well what do you know! LOL! reading is a skill after all!

    keep up the great work!

  2. Hi, I stumbled upon you and have downloaded and burned a live usb of your distribution. It boots up fine, but I do not know the user name and password to put in. I’d like to try it before installing. Can you help me out? Best regards, Kris
i.e. with Makulu Linux the user is Makulu and the password is Makulu

  3. I think it is cool all the different OS you have remastered or created. You obviously have spent lots of time on these projects. I have tried to locate but had no luck in finding a puppy distro, based on debian testing with LXDE. I think it would be nice to have a puppy distro based on something that would never have a EOL. Also, I am guessing it is impossible to replace PPM with Synaptic? Synaptic is better in finding all the dependicies someone may need with a package. Just thinking. Once again, nice work.

    1. How did you install to USB?

Log in as root, open up a terminal and run this command: ubiquity

(Or log in as extix and run the command sudo ubiquity)

      Post any error messages here.

      1. First of all: ubiquity: command not found!
Second try with calamares: Installation failed at the point where the boot loader has to be installed.
        What to do?
